الجثـجــاث.. عـشــق النـحـــل The plant “Al-Jathjath”, also known as “Al-Arar” or “Al-Jathjath” and “Al-Rawas”, is considered one of the desert plants that form a striking presence in valleys, meadows, and floods, especially in areas where its soil is enriched with clay and sand, and this plant reflects an aspect of the unique plant diversity that characterizes the Northern Borders region. Al-Jathjath bears the scientific name “Pulicaria undulata” and is a plant from the Asteraceae family. It is described as an annual or perennial dwarf shrub that grows to a height of 40 to 50 centimeters, consisting of several intertwined branches emanating from the base of the plant, forming a shape resembling a dome or a hemisphere.

The medical team was led by Professor Dr. Muhammad Manahi Al-Aklabi, the Executive Director of the Center, who dealt with severe congenital defects including agenesis of the pulmonary artery and multiple holes in the heart.
